Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission which allows a speed ratio to be changed, in a power transmission path between an in-wheel motor and a wheel while taking mountability on a vehicle into consideration.SOLUTION: A vehicle Ve mounted with an in-wheel motor 2 comprises a continuously variable transmission 100 in a power transmission path between the in-wheel motor 2 and a wheel 1. The continuously variable transmission 100 comprises: an input member 110 which rotates as a unit with a rotor 22; an output member 120 which rotates as a unit with a drive shaft 11; planetary balls 150 which transmit torque between the input member 110 and the output member 120; a support shaft which rotatably supports each planetary ball 150; and a carrier 140 which can tilt each planetary ball 150 by displacing the radial positions of both end portions of the support shaft. A speed ratio can be changed by varying the tilting angle of each planetary ball 150 by the carrier 140.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
