Abstract:
To enable the execution of DC charging even when a voltage of a power storage device is lower than a lower limit of an output voltage of a DC power supply.SOLUTION: At the start of DC charging, an ECU executes boost processing when a voltage of a power storage device is lower than an output lower limit voltage of a DC charging facility. In the boost processing, the ECU starts AC charging (S52,53) when a charging connector of a charging cable of an AC charging facility is connected to an AC charging port (YES in S51). The ECU continues AC charging until the voltage of the power storage device exceeds the output lower limit voltage of the DC charging facility (NO in S54). Then, when the voltage of the power storage device becomes equal to or higher than the output lower limit voltage of the DC charging facility (YES in S54), the ECU ends the AC charging (S55, S56) and starts the DC charging.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
