PURPOSE: To provide a vehicle to perform advance in a direction extending at right angles with an advancing direction by means of a running means and perform advance even in a place having an uneven surface, such as a large groove and hole.

CONSTITUTION: One-way members 16a and 16b are arranged to a car body 12, and disposed in a horizontal one-way and movable in one way. The one-way members 16a and 16b are provided with leg parts 26a-26d, which are vertically expandable and support the car body 12 when the leg parts are in a support state. The car body 12 is relatively moved in one-way to the one-way members 16a and 16b by means of one-way drive mechanisms 30 and 34. Vertical drive mechanisms 40a-40d cause vertical expansion and contraction of the leg parts 26a-26d.
