Abstract:
To prevent legs from directly interfering with a clevis intended to support an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal during an impact of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle comprises a brake pedal (4), a clevis intended to support an accelerator pedal, and a protection device fixed to a structural element of the vehicle. The device comprises a first rigid wire placed behind the brake pedal (4) and intended to prevent a sudden rise of the pedal (4) during an impact of the vehicle. According to the invention, the protection device comprises a second rigid interposition wire (6) fixed to the first wire so as to extend the first wire, the second interposition wire (6) being intended to be placed between the clevis of the accelerator pedal and a driver's legs in order to prevent direct interference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
