Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection device for right and left wheel driving devices capable of detecting abnormality at a gear of a gear device from beginning of occurrence of abnormality in a precise manner, an abnormality detection method and a vehicle with this abnormality detection device.SOLUTION: An abnormality detection device 68 for right and left wheel driving devices comprises two electric motors that are installed at a vehicle and can be controlled independently; and a speed reducer that is installed between these electric motors and the right and left driving wheels, amplifies a difference of torques given by said two electric motors and transmits it to each of said right and left driving wheels. An abnormality detection device 68 comprises a rotation speed difference calculating means 74 and a judgement means 76. The rotation speed difference calculating means 74 calculates a rotational speed difference between the right and left driving wheels. The judgement means 76 judges whether or not the calculated rotational speed difference becomes more than threshold periodically. When the rotational speed difference becomes more than threshold periodically, the judgement means 76 judges that abnormality is generated at the gear device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
