Abstract:
To supply a large amount of electric power from a vehicle to an outside when the electric power is required in the outside.SOLUTION: A vehicle includes: an electric motor for traveling; a storage battery capable of being charged with electric power from an external power source; an internal combustion engine capable of rotating the electric motor; and a controller capable of executing prohibition control to prohibit the driving of the internal combustion engine when the vehicle is located in a predetermined area. In the vehicle, the electric power stored in the storage battery can be supplied to an outside. When electric power supply is insufficient for electric power demand in the predetermined area, or when the electric power supply is predicted to be insufficient for the electric power demand in the predetermined area, the controller permits the driving of the internal combustion engine even in the predetermined area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
