Abstract:
To facilitate a maintenance after an air bag operation by obstructing unnecessary operations of an air bag.
The existence/absence of the placing and the placing posture of a child seat 38 for an occupant seat 12 is discriminated under the combination of one passive element 56 with front/rear two detection elements 25 (F, R) and also the existence/absence of a sitting person to the occupant seat including the sitting person to the child seat is detected by a sitting switch 28. When at least either one of the backward turning posture of the child seat 38 for the occupant seat 12 and the non-sitting state on the occupant seat is detected, an air bag 14 is not operated, even if an impact is detected by an impact sensor 16.
