Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular air conditioner that employs a single member as a pipe cover and also as an evaporator cover for its cost reduction.
SOLUTION: A cooler/heater unit 3 comprises a unit case 10 and a cooling heat exchanger 11 and a heating heat exchanger 12 both stored in the case 10. The heating heat exchanger 12, which is a hot-water heater for heating air with the use of engine cooling water as the heat source, is provided with hot-water pipes 28 connected thereto to supply engine cooling water thereto. The pipes 28 are led out of the case 10 through the same wall thereof where a takeoff port is arranged for the cooling heat exchanger 11 by way of under the heat exchanger 11 or near the feet of an occupant in the passenger seat up to the engine. The case 10 is provided with a protective cover 14 for covering the takeoff port for the cooling heat exchanger 11 and the pipes 28 integrally.
