Abstract:
To provide a vehicular braking device that when electric power to be supplied to a brake bi-wire system runs short, enables an auxiliary electric power source to supply electric power to the system to provide optimum braking force.SOLUTION: In a vehicular braking device which comprises: electric brake means that can brake a vehicle by driving a motor by brake operation performed by an occupant; a main electric power source that can supply electric power to the electric brake means; auxiliary electric power supply units comprising a plurality of power storage means that can supply electric power to the electric brake means; and control means that when required electric power by the electric brake means is larger than electric power that the main electric power source can supply, makes the auxiliary electric power supply unit to supply electric power to the electric brake means, together with the main electric power source or in a first connection mode in which at least one of the auxiliary electric power supply units is solely used in stead of the main electric power source, the control means, when a predetermined condition is satisfied, switches the auxiliary electric power supply unit from the first connection mode into a second connection mode in which the plurality of power storage means are connected in series and used.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
