Since simultaneous performing of change of the operating cycle of the engine 10 and change of the power transmitting state of the power transmission device is prohibited by a simultaneous change prohibiting means 108 and either one is performed first and the other performed later, the change control of the operating cycle of the engine and the control of the power transmitting state of the power transmission device are respectively properly performed without mutual interference. Accordingly, shock due to the change of the operating cycle of the engine 10 or the change of the power transmitting state of the power transmission device can be suppressed.
