To provide a vehicular control device with which abnormal combustion can be avoided while securing drivability by appropriately changing an operating line in a vehicle including an internal combustion engine and a continuously variable transmission.
An internal combustion engine and a continuously variable transmission connected to the internal combustion engine are provided. The operation of the internal combustion engine is controlled on the basis of an operating line obtained by connecting operation points for each output determined from a combination of the torque of the internal combustion engine and a rotation speed of an engine. Abnormal combustion which occurs at a predetermined operating point on the operating line is detected. When the abnormal combustion is detected, the operating line is changed to a post-change operating line obtained by changing the operating point where the abnormal combustion is detected, and operating points around the operating point to a high rotation side on an equal output line.
