Abstract:
To improve visibility of a screen of a display means by controlling the screen to an intensity between a high intensity and a low intensity especially in a condition where a vehicle exterior is dark.SOLUTION: If it is determined that an illuminance L of a vehicle exterior detected with an illuminance sensor 1 is lower than a first threshold L1 and higher than a second threshold L2, so-called an illuminance at dusk, an ECU 2 controls an intensity of a screen of an LCD 4 to an intermediate intensity between a first intensity (high intensity) and a second intensity (low intensity). Therefore, the intensity of the screen of the LCD 4 can be controlled to a condition not too bright and not too dark even if a headlight 3 is dimmed in dusk, resulting in improvement of visibility of the screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
