Title:
VEHICULAR CONTROL SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3888225
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular control system that can increase reliability further even when safe running of a vehicle for repair is executed, by executing more suitable fail-safe processing after an anomaly determination about an electronic control unit.
SOLUTION: The system is mounted on a vehicle having a control microcomputer 31 for electronically controlling operating modes of fuel injection valves and spark plugs in dependence on an operating state of an on-vehicle engine, and a monitoring microcomputer 32 for determining an anomaly occurring in the control microcomputer 31. When an anomaly occurs in the control microcomputer 31, a throttle valve is fixed at a given opening angle and the operating modes are controlled by the control microcomputer 31 to provide fail-safe vehicle running. The monitoring microcomputer 32 stops the operation of the engine forcibly if conditions are met, or for example, a fuel injection valve whose fuel injection is basically prohibited under a cylinder cutoff operation or the like injects fuel, and an engine speed exceeds a given speed.
