Abstract:

To improve starting performance when a stopped engine is started.

A vehicular control unit comprising an engine controlled to stop/start on the basis of an ignition key operation, and a friction engaging device provided between the engine and a driving wheel and capable of changing engaging oil pressure, can control the engine to stop/start as to whether a request for stopping driving power source which establishes regardless whether the ignition key operation is generated or not. The vehicular control unit is provided with a torque transmission controlling means (steps S1, S2, S5, S6, S7), which stops an electric oil pump generating oil pressure supplied to the friction engaging device or reduces the number of revolutions of the electric oil pump when the driving power source stopping request ceases and the engine is started again, during the engine is stopped by the generation of the request for stopping driving power source.
