Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage to a fuel tank by mitigating the shock at the rear collision time, in a thing which is installed as a subassembly to a car body by assembling a suspension to a cross member main body consisting of a pipe material.
SOLUTION: A cross member main body 1 is constituted of a nearly U latter shape first member 2 consisting of a pipe material and a second member 3 for connecting between its side parts 2a, 2b and a suspension 10 consisting of a swing arm 11, three lateral links 12, 13, 14, a damper 15 and a coil spring 16 is assembled and arranged to a car body rear part and installed to the car body side frames 6, 7 at the front end of the first member 2. Slopes 2e, 2f are installed on the front end side of the first member 2 through bent parts 2c, 2d and damper installation brackets 30a, 30b are fixed to the bent parts 2c, 2d.
