PURPOSE: To provide a vehicular disc brake device by which a vehicle traveling at high speed can be stopped without damaging pads of brake blocks by a fire.
CONSTITUTION: At least two or more brake blocks 7 are installed on a holding metal fitting 4a, and brake levers 2 and 22 are installed in a central part of the holding metal fitting 4a. A driving mechanism composed of a cylinder 5 and a return spring 6 is arranged on the other end of the brake levers 2 and 22. When the cylinder 5 is driven, the brake levers 2 and 22 rotate with brake lever fulcrum parts 2d and 22d as the axis, and the brake blocks 7 are brought into pressure contact with a disc surface 9b of a wheel 9, and braking force is applied to the wheel. Since the brake blocks 7 are arranged by two or more pieces, a quantity of braking heat borne by a pad of a single braking block can be reduced, and damage of the pad by a fire can be reduced. Since the brake blocks 7 are installed so as to be movable to the brake levers 2 and 22, the brake blocks can be contacted under uniform pressure with the disc surface of the wheel.
