Abstract:
To provide a technique that is effective in improving operability of a vehicular door holding device that can hold a vehicular door at an arbitrary intermediate position.SOLUTION: A vehicular door holding device 10 comprises: a drum 30 provided rotatably in a vehicle body 1; a cable member 11 which is wound up to the drum 30 so that member can be wound off and whose one end part 11a is locked to a back door 6 as a vehicle door; and a door holding mechanism 40 for holding the back door 6. The door holding mechanism 40 is configured so as to form a lock state in which when the back door 6 is at an arbitrary intermediate position P3 between a full-close position P1 and a full-open position P2, rotation in a winding-off direction of the drum 30 is locked by making use of rotation operation in a winding-up direction of the drum 30 and to release the lock state by making use of rotation operation of the drum 30 in a period of time during which the back door 6 moves from the intermediate position P3 to the full-close position P1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
