To provide a vehicular electromagnetic actuator with high practical utility.

The electromagnetic actuator is provided with two units relatively moved with approaching/leaving of a spring weight part and an unsprung weight part, and is made expandable/contractable by relatively moving them while depending on motor force. The actuator has (a) a leaf spring 100 provided on one retaining member 84 of the two units in the state that advancement/retreating is allowed relative to the other screw rod 80 of the two units and urged to the screw rod by resilient force; and (b) a head part 86 provided on the screw rod and engaged with the leaf spring in contraction of the actuator (arrow mark). In a state that the leaf spring presses the head part by its own resilient force, they are brought into slide contact with each other, the leaf spring advances toward the screw rod at contraction, exceeding a set length of the actuator, and they are engaged with each other. According to the constitution, the distance between the sprung part and the unsprung part can be maintained not depending on the motor force.
