Abstract:
To provide a vehicular engagement type clutch which suppresses the releasing of engagement between a sleeve and a gear piece, and suppresses the deterioration of durability of a contact component such as the sleeve and a peak pad.SOLUTION: An outer peripheral tooth 54s has a pair of first side surface portions 100 of inversely tapered shapes, and an inner peripheral tooth 56s has a pair of second side surface portions 110 of inversely tapered shapes. Either one of the first side surface portion 110 or the second side surface portion 110 is formed in a recessed shape, and the other is formed in a projecting shape. A second contact angle θb to a surface passing through an axis C made by a second contact surface Hb while a sleeve 56 is moved to a position finishing the engagement with a gear piece 54, is formed to be smaller than a first contact angle θa to a surface passing through an axis C made by a first contact surface Ha while the sleeve 56 is moved to a position where the sleeve 56 is in a process of engaging with the gear piece 54.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
