PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate the warming up of an engine so as to shorten warming up hour, and improve the operativity of a vehicle, by driving a transmission gear ratio controlling member by transmission gear ratios respectively set in a warming up operation transmission gear ratio setting part during the warming up operation of the engine, and in a travelling transmission gear ratio setting part during engine operation except for the warming up operation.
SOLUTION: At the time of cold start, the warming up operation of an engine 10 is normally performed under a no-load condition until cooling water temperature Tw of the engine 10 reaches a previously set constant temperature. During warming up operation, an actuator 54 is driven according to a transmission gear ratio controlling map for warming up, which is enclosed in the warming up operation transmission gear ratio setting part of a controller 56 so that the transmission gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission 40 is controlled. That is, the transmission gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission 40 is controlled on a speed increasing side and in a maximum transmission gear ratio allowed for a mechanical supercharger 24 so that the mechanical supercharger 24 is operated at a high speed. While, the transmission gear ratio is set in a reference transmission ratio at the time of normal travelling at a warming up temperature or more. Hereby, warming up can be effectively accelerated, and a vehicle can be operated in its early stages.
