To provide a vehicular engine capable of inhibiting temperature rise of fuel with a simple structure and increasing operation stability without causing increase of the number of part items.
The vehicular engine 1 is mounted in an engine room at a vehicle front part with orienting a cylinder row in a vehicle lateral direction, is provided with a supercharger, an intercooler 20 cooling air pressurized by the supercharger, and an air introduction duct 24 provided in a vehicle lower surface side of the intercooler and introducing cooling air to the intercooler 20, has a high pressure fuel pump 28 driven by a camshaft attached on a vehicle lateral direction end part, and has a fuel injection device injecting fuel supplied from the high pressure fuel pump 28 to each cylinder. The air introduction duct 24 is provided with a through hole (air introduction part) 35 for introducing cooling air before cooling the intercooler 20 to the high pressure fuel pump 28 and surrounding parts.
