Title:
VEHICULAR HEADLAMP DEVICE AND NIGHT VISION DEVICE USING IT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3893984
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular headlamp device having both a night vision effect in an area unreachable by visible light and a visibility enhancing effect in the visible light area.
SOLUTION: Light emitted from the light source of a HID headlamp assembly is reflected by a reflector and irradiates the visible light area to enhance its visibility. In addition, in order to use the HID light source as a light source for a night vision device, a visible light shading member to shade a visible light wavelength range out of the light emitted from the light source of the HID lamp and to transmit an infrared light wavelength range is provided. The infrared light transmitted through the visible light shading member is reflected by the reflector and is radiated onto an area further away from the visible light area.
