Abstract:

To provide a vehicular headlight capable of attaining desired light-distribution performance while narrowing a vertical width and suitably tilting in a front and back direction of a vehicle.

The vehicular headlight 1 includes a filament 31 of a bulb 3, a first parabolic reflecting surface 11 having a focal point F1 in the vicinity of the filament 31 and reflecting light emitted from the filament 31 to the front of a vehicle, a second elliptical reflecting surface 12 having a focal point F21 in the vicinity of the filament 31 and reflecting light emitted from the filament 31 to a second focal point F22, and a third parabolic reflecting surface 13 having a focal point F3 in the vicinity of the second focal point F22 of the second reflecting surface 12 and reflecting the light reflected with the second reflecting surface 12 to the front of the vehicle. The second focal point F22 of the second reflecting surface 12 and the focal point F3 of the third reflecting surface 13 are located in front of the vehicle and at a central side of the vehicle against the first focal point F21 of the second reflecting surface 12, and are located at the back of the third reflecting surface 13.
