To provide hydraulic buffer with pistons whose valves are arranged in simplified construction for reducing the cost while disusing a pressure side base valve device for generating pressure side damping force on operating oil whose amount is equivalent to the volume of a piston rod moved therein.
This vehicular hydraulic buffer 1 comprises the hydraulic buffers 100, 200 provided on the right and left sides of a wheel. The hydraulic buffer 100 on one side has an expansion-pressure common oil path 42 in the piston 32, a pressure side valve assembly 101B in an opening portion at the lower end of the oil path 42 movably in the axial direction for generating damping force substantially only during compression and an oil path 50 for volume compensation for the piston rod 15, which normally opens a piston rod side oil chamber 41A to an oil reservoir 43. The hydraulic buffer 200 on the other side has an expansion-pressure common oil path 42 in the piston 32, an expansion side assembly 201B in an opening portion at the upper end of the oil path 42 movably in the axial direction for generating damping force substantially only during expansion and an oil path 70 for volume compensation for the piton rod 15, which normally opens a piston side oil chamber 41B to the oil reservoir 43.
