There are respectively formed an upper direction light transmission section 9 on the top surface section 70 of an illumination body 7 that houses a light source 8, and a lateral light transmission section 10 on the side face section 71 within the interior of a vehicle. An operation mechanism 12 of an opening/closing member operates an opening/closing member 11 that enables the activation of the opening/closing of the upper light transmission section 9 in linkage with the opening/closing of a door 3. The light from the light source 8, therefore, is emitted from both the upper direction light transmission section 9 and a lateral light transmission section 10 when the door 3 is while being opened, while, if the door 3 is closed, the upper direction light transmission section 9 is shielded of light by the opening/closing member 11, allowing only the lateral light transmission section 10 to emit light.
