To easily park an automobile at the most appropriate position by confirming a distance between automobiles at a low cost and in a short time.

A lens 7 for parking light is formed on the front cover of a headlight 1, and when a low beam is irradiated, measuring projection light patterns PLa, PLb with fine light fluxes are distributed. The measuring projection light pattern PLa of the headlight 1 provided at the left side of an automobile is distributed rightward and obliquely upward from the parking light lens 7 and the measuring projection light pattern PLb of the headlight 1 which is provided at the right side is distributed leftward and obliquely upward from the parking light lens 7. The measuring projection light patterns PLa, PLb are adjusted so as to cross each other at a distance of about 20 cm from the front end of the automobile, and a driver can easily recognize the distance between the automobile and a wall surface by these measuring projection light patterns PLa, PLb.
