To improve lighting efficiency of a vehicular lighting fixture, which has light emitting elements as light sources, in the direction from the light emitting element to the front of the apparatus as well as its appearance when lighted.
A translucent component 24 is placed in front of the light emitting element 22 placed on an optical axis Ax extending in the cross direction of the apparatus. The translucent component 24 is composed of a basis of a thick part 24A expanding along a plane approximately perpendicular to the optical axis Ax and a plurality of projections 24B extending to the front of the thick part 24A, having comb-like cross section. A plurality of lens elements 24s1 which let light from the light emitting element 22 enter approximately parallel to the optical axis Ax are prepared on the back face 24a of the thick part 24A. A part of light incident from the light emitting element 22 to the translucent component 24 is emitted from the front face 24b of the thick part 24A to the front and the other light is emitted from a tip face 24 of each projection 24B to the front. This manner improves lighting efficiency to the front of the apparatus and gives a stereoscopic effect to the shining manner of the translucent component.
