To provide a vehicular lighting system for uniformly illuminating an area around the feet of a person when getting on or out of an automobile, without increasing the number of the structural components of a lighting fixture body.
The foot-illumination lighting system includes a lighting fixture body 11 having a lamp chamber S which is defined by a translucent case 14 and a housing 12, and in which a plurality of LEDs 24 and reflectors 22 for reflecting and distributing light emitted from the respective LEDs 24 in predetermined directions are arranged. To the housing 12 with which the reflector 22 is integrally molded, a printed wiring board 23 mounted with the LEDs 24 is fixed. Thus, the lighting system can uniformly illuminate a wide-range road surface around the feet without the need for the complicated structure of the lighting fixture body 11.
