In the vehicular lighting device constituted by a plurality of LED light sources, by controlling lighting of the respective light sources, abnormality of the LED light sources of a head light capable of changing light distribution in every division area of the division area divided to a plurality of areas is detected. When the abnormality is detected, a lens of the LED light source corresponding to the division area adjacent to the division area becoming unirradiation is moved to enlarge an irradiation range, and irradiation of the light to the unirradiation area is compensated by irradiation of the light from the division area adjacent to the division area with unirradiation.
