Abstract:
To enable the accurate formation of a light distribution pattern for road surface drawing, etc. in a vehicular lighting having a lighting unit including a spatial light modulator and a projection lens and stored in a lighting chamber.SOLUTION: A configuration is provided such that light from a light source 52 reflected at a spatial light modulator 30 is emitted toward the front of a lighting via a projection lens 72, which permits the accurate formation of various light distribution patterns for road surface drawing. In addition, a configuration is provided such that an adjustment mechanism 90 is included as a lighting unit 10 which adjusts the relative positional relation in an anterior-posterior direction of the lighting between a bracket 40 for supporting the spatial light modulator 30 and a lens holder 74 for supporting the projection lens 72, and the adjustment mechanism 90 is provided in a manner to be operable from an outside of a lighting chamber. Consequently, even upon the occurrence of slight shift of the focal point of a projection optical system as a vehicular lighting 100 including even a translucent cover 104 in the anterior-posterior direction of the lighting from the original position, adjustment to the original position can be made through operation of the adjustment mechanism 90.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
