Abstract:
To provide a vehicular main electric motor 1 including a cooling fan 8 that is fixed to one axial side of a rotary shaft 4 in a sealed inner space 21 in an electric motor case 2, wherein multiple air holes 9 extending in the axial direction of the rotary shaft 4 are formed, at an interval in the circumferential direction, in a first rotor presser 5a, a rotor 6, and a second rotor presser 5b, such that the efficiency of cooing the rotor 6 and a stator 7 by using air circulation in the inner space 21 in the electric motor case 2 can be improved when the cooling fan 8 is rotating.SOLUTION: In a portion of the inner circumferential surface of a rotor 6, multiple recessed grooves 62 extending in the axial direction of a rotary shaft 4 are formed at an interval in the circumferential direction. In a first rotor presser 5a, multiple discharge ports 5a1 respectively connecting the recessed grooves 62 to an inner space 21 in an electric motor case 2 are drilled at an interval in the circumferential direction. Further, in a second rotor presser 5b, suction ports 5b1 respectively connecting the recessed grooves 62 to the inner space 21 in the electric motor case 2 are drilled at an interval in the circumferential direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
