Abstract:

To provide a vehicular open type roof structure capable of improving a disadvantage that seams are present between two linings which negatively influence the esthetical appearance of the open roof construction.

The vehicular open type roof construction comprises a roof opening part having a longitudinal side edge part and a transverse side edge part provided on a vehicular fixed roof part, and a closing means to close the roof opening part which is movable between the closed position to close the roof opening part and the open position to open the roof opening part. The fixed roof part and the closing means have a lower side directed to an occupant compartment of a vehicle, and each lower side has a lining. The lining of the fixed roof part and the lining of the closing means are integrally connected to each other at the first transverse side edge part of the roof opening part on which the closing means is moved thereto when the lining of the closing means is moved from the closed position to the open position. The closing means has a guide means to move the lining of the closing means with respect to the closing means and to guide a portion of the excessive length of the lining of the closing means between the lining and the closing means when the closing means is moved toward the open position.
