Abstract:

To provide a vehicular seat having an operational error preventive mechanism of a simple structure in which an operating mechanism is in an idling state by erecting a seat back.

The vehicular seat 1 has a locking mechanism 5 to lock a seat cushion 2 to a vehicle floor, and an operating mechanism 7 which is operated to unlock the locking mechanism 5. The operating mechanism 7 has a strip-like strap 70, and the operational range is limited to a predetermined one. When a seat back 3 is erected, a play 70f is generated in the strap 70, the operational force in the operational range is not transmitted to the locking mechanism 5 side. When the seat back 3 is collapsed, the play 70f is canceled, and the operational force in the operational range can be transmitted to the locking mechanism 5 side.
