A vehicular seat has a rail 1 whose front part is rotatably connected to a car body A and rear part is connected to the car body A through a rear connecting means 12, a seat part 21 arranged so as to be freely movable along this rail 1 and fixable to an optional position on the rail 1, a back part 22 arranged on this seat part 21, a prescribed position moving means (a neutral position moving means) 3 to move the seat part 21 to a prescribed position (a neutral position) in the rail 1 and a prescribed position fixing means (a neutral position fixing means) to fix the seat part 21 to a prescribed position in the rail 1. The seat part 21 and the back part 22 are raised forward with a front part of the rail 1 as a fulcrum by releasing a connecting condition of a rear part of the rail 1 and the car body A by the rear connecting means 12 in a condition where the back part 22 is brought down on an upper surface of the seat part 21.
