To provide a vehicular steering system capable of alleviating a steering burden on a driver by executing a steering control in response to a steering speed in the range of large steering angles.
The steering device includes a steering drive mechanism for steering the tires, a steering angle sensor for detecting the steering angle of a steering member, a steering in or back determination processing unit (B3) which determines whether a steering angle is in the high angle ranges exceeding the predetermined threshold angle α, and when the steering angle is in the high angle ranges, the steering angle detected by the steering sensor is determined whether it increases or decreases, and a target steering angle calculation processing unit (B4) which controls the steering drive mechanism to make the steering angle of the tires increase in response to a time a steering angle is in the high angle ranges when a steering angle is on the increase in the high angle ranges, and when a steering angle is on the decrease in the high angle ranges, calculates a target steering angle in order to control the steering drive mechanism to make the steering angle of the tires decrease in response to a time a steering angle is in the high angle ranges.
