To provide a vehicular suspension cylinder device capable of enhancing the practicability of an electromagnetic shock absorber including a motor.
A coil 60 of a motor 52 provided on an electromagnetic shock absorber 10 is vertically movable with respect to an inner tube 22 connected to a wheel side, and elastically supported by its inner tube via springs 74, 78 to permit the relative movement in the axial direction between the coil and a permanent magnet 56 associated with the relative movement between the coil and the inner tube. This structure mitigates the vibration to be transferred from the wheel to the motor, and the motor is sufficiently protected from the vibration. In addition, the absorber has an unsprung dynamic damper in which the coil functions as a mass, and the transmission of the high frequency unsprung vibration to the sprung can be effectively suppressed.
