Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a vehicular suspension device alignment control method enabling the improvement of steering operability by reducing operating force and self alignment effort at the time of steering operation while keeping rectilinear stability desirable.

CONSTITUTION: In a vehicular suspension device alignment control method of adjusting the alignment of the suspension device of the steered wheel of a vehicle so as to control the trail according to the operating state, the on-off state of a direction indicator switched by the changeover operation of a driver is detected, and the absolute value of the trail is decreased when the direction indicator is switched into the 'on' state from the 'off' state (t1 time point), whereas the decreased trail is restored when the direction indicator is switched into the 'offb state from the 'on' state (t3 time point).
