Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control generated damping force ranging over the whole operation positions for a vehicular suspension having a hydraulic shock absorber of two- stage expansion type to secure a stable and desirable damping force characteristic.
SOLUTION: In this suspension 17, an axle 24 is suspended by an upper arm 18 and a lower arm 19 to be freely oscillated vertically with respect to a body 20, a hydraulic shock absorber 1(1a) of a two-stage expansion type is interposed between the axle 24 and the body 20, a tip part of a first-stage piston rod 8 in the hydraulic shock absorber 1(1a) is connected oscillatably to the upper arm 18 to be separated more than a dimension from a connection point 25 connected to the axle 24 upto an attaching point 27 of hydraulic shock absorber 1(1a) attached onto the lower arm 19 including the axle 24 so that the first-stage piston rod 8 and a second-stage piston rod 11 in the shock absorber 1(1a) are synchronized to reach to an operation end.
