Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular wheel made of a light alloy which enables a logo part formed integrally with the wheel to provide a stereoscopic effect emphatically.SOLUTION: After an entire wheel is coated, a portion of a coated part 6 of a disc 3 or a rim 2 including a spoke 5 is machined to cut a coating film 62 and a base metal so as to expose a metal surface while forming a display part 7 which includes a recessed or projecting logo part 71 consisting of characters, graphics, or symbols. The logo part 71 of the display part 7 or a metal exposing part outside the logo part 71 has an engraved part 8 formed thereon which is a surface having continuous projecting and recessed streaks 81 created by tracks of a machining cutter. The engraved part 8 is coated with a colored or colorless clear paint so as to level off irregularities on the surface of the projecting and recessed streaks 81 to form transparent layers (63, 72), thereby the wheel being configured so that the engraved part 8 emphatically provides a stereoscopic effect by utilizing light refraction and reflection created by the layer thickness of the projecting and recessed streaks 81 and the transparent layers (63, 72) of the base metal.
