Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a velour material enabling pile yarns to be prevented from coming off a base fabric and from loss of bulkiness on the base fabric.
SOLUTION: This velour material 31 comprises the base fabric 32 as a woven fabric and a plurality of pile yarns 33 woven in the base fabric 32 by pile weave so as to be raised on the surface of the fabric 32, wherein the base fabric 32 is obtained by weaving up each a plurality of warps 35 and wefts 36 extending rectangularly to each other, each of the wefts 36 is formed by arranging a main yarn 37 and an auxiliary yarn 38 higher in stiffness than the main yarn 37 in parallel to each other followed by doubling them, and the root foot 33a of each of the pile yarns 33 is firmly tightened as a result of the high-stiffness auxiliary yarns 38 getting right into the pile yarn 33 from sideways.
