The vending machine 1 controls environmental loads using a predetermined environmental load evaluation method for evaluating the environmental loads over the entire lifecycle of the vending machine. The vending machine includes an environmental load calculation process part 2a for calculating and integrating actual environmental load values in a service operation stage of the evaluation method by use of information about the environmental loads detected; a storage part 7 for storing the total environmental load value of the entire lifecycle initially calculated using the evaluation method, a reference environmental load value obtained through the subtraction of the environmental load value in the service operation stage from the total environmental load value, and integrated actual environmental load values, at least in the form of an environment chart 7a; a control part 2b for controlling the relationship between the current environmental load value obtained through the addition of the actual environmental load value at the present time to the reference environmental load value and the total environmental load value; and a display part 8 for outputting the control results for display.
