To provide a ventilating skylight window apparatus which always performs good ventilating function irrespective of environmental conditions such as a wind direction and rainfall.
The ventilating skylight window apparatus is set in a roof of a building, and performs ventilation of an indoor space and daylighting. The apparatus is comprised of a ventilator 20, a skylight window cover 30, and a ventilation control cylinder 40. The ventilator 20 protrudes upward through the roof 10 so as to connect the indoor space to the outside, and an opening 22 at an upper edge of the ventilator 20 is inclined. The skylight window cover 30 is arranged over the inclined opening of the ventilator 20, has a translucent surface 32 which enables daylighting, and is rotatable about an apex side of the inclined opening 22 so as to assume a position that closes the inclined opening 22 and a position that opens the same. The ventilation control cylinder 40 encloses the perimeter of the ventilator 20 up to a height above a location which the skylight window cover 30 in the opening position reaches. The ventilation control cylinder 40 is spaced an interval at least away from an openable side of the skylight window cover 30.
