To obtain a cooler in which influences exerted by dust or the like upon an electronic component are reduced easily without using a filter.
A cooler comprises a heat pipe 4 thermally connected to an electronic component 2, fins 5 which disperse heat transported by the heat pipe, a fan 6 which blows cooling air to the fin, and a duct 9 which forms an air path of the fan and includes an inlet port 7 provided at an entrance side of the air path and an outlet port 8 provided at an exit side of the air path. A minimum dimension t1 of an opening of the inlet port 7 is made smaller than an interval t2 of the fins 5 and a minimum dimension t3 of an opening of the outlet port 8 is made larger than the interval t2 of the fins 5. Therefore, dust sucked from the inlet port 7 can be discharged from the outlet port 8 as further as possible, thereby reducing dust clogging and reducing performance reduction of the cooler.
