This ventilation device comprises an environment detecting means 4 for detecting indoor environment, a fan 3 for ventilating the indoor air, and a control means 7 for ventilating the indoor air by operating the fan 3 when indoor environment deterioration is detected by the environment detecting means 4. The fan 3 is intermittently operated at a specific time interval to circulate the indoor air even when the indoor environment deterioration is not detected by the environment detecting means 4, and the ventilation device is automatically operated by detecting environment change of the entire room with high accuracy.
