This ventilation hood is mounted at an outdoor side of an opening formed on a planar structure 10 vertically disposed to fractionate a room, and composed of a protector member 2 covering the opening of the planar structure 10 and opened at its lower face as a main vent hole 30, and a mounting frame 3 to the planar structure 10, of the protector member 2. The protector member is composed of a front plate 21 having a fixing section 21a to the mounting frame 3 on its upper end, and extending to a front-side oblique lower part from the upper end fixing section 21a to cover a front part of the opening of the planar structure 10, and side plates 22 having fixing sections 22a to the mounting frame 3, on rear ends, and covering right and left both sides of a space covered by the front plate 21. The main vent hole 30 is vertically and longitudinally oriented to a face P of the planar structure 10, and provided with a wind catching plate 25 projecting to a lower part with respect to lower ends 21b, 22b of the front plate 21 and right and left side plates 22 of the protector member.
