To provide a ventilator capable of preventing the intrusion of a water droplet and dust by using a compact electric component box, and preventing the intrusion of water droplet and dust to a motor.
A flange 7a projecting roughly into a square shape in a direction orthogonal to a rotating shaft of a fan 3 is formed at an outer periphery of an indoor-side opening 6 of a cylindrical section 5, a raising section 7b is formed at a back side of a peripheral section of the flange 7a, and a frame 9 receiving the electric component box 8 is constituted of the flange 7a and the raising section 7b. The electric component box 8 is constituted of an electric component box case 8a having a power source connection terminal 12 and a power source cord fixing section 13, and an electric component box cover 8b as a cover, and its outer wall is overlapped and fitted in a stepwise manner. Furthermore, as an end of the electric component box cover 8b is disposed to a bottom face of the electric component box case 8a, the ventilator capable of preventing the intrusion of water by the compact electric box can be provided.
