PURPOSE: To make the entire body compact, facilitate fitting and reduce cost, by using a single passage as both an exhaust passage and an intake passage, in a heat exchange type ventilator.
CONSTITUTION: The ventilator consists of a motor 2 for rotating vanes 3 provided in a passage for an air flow, a heat-accumulating material 4 provided in the passage to absorb heat from the air flow, a timer 7 for rotating the motor 2 alternately in forward and reverse directions and a ventilating port 8 provided with a heat-accumulating material 9 therein, and the single passage is used as both an intake passage and an exhaust passage. For example, when the vanes 3 are rotated in the direction of an arrow A by the timer 7, room air flows through the interior of a main body 1 as indicated by B→B' and the heat of the room air is accumulated in the heat-accumulating material 4. The outside air is supplied into the room through the port 8, as indicated by arrows C→C', by the pressure difference between the interior and the exterior of the room difference thereof is generated by the exhausting, and the heat accumulated in the heat- accumulating material 9 is recovered into the room by the inflow of the outside air.
