Title:
VENTING DEVICE FOR DIE IN MOLDING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57106462
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain injected products of good quality and strength resistance having no blow holes easily at all times by providing a venting device which is provided with a valve body closing a gas release port quickly and surely when the initial melt to be injected arrives at the valve body.

CONSTITUTION: When molding metal is injected into a cavity 2 by injection operation, the gas in the cavity 2 contacts with a valve 5 and is discharged through a valve chamber 9 and a discharge port 10. After the molten metal is packed in the cavity 2, the molten metal ascends until it contacts with the bottom surface of a valve head part 5a, thereby kicking the valve 5 upward. At this time, a ball 8 is forced down into a hole 16 by the ascending effect of the tapered part of a recess 15, by which a valve stem 5b is moved upward, then the part 5a closes between a passage 6 and the chamber 9 and stops the outflow of the melt to be injected with the valve 5. When the casting work is completed by the pressurizing and cooling for a prescribed time, a spool 7 is moved upward, and the solidified metal and the valve 5 are parted. The molding is removed from the movable die by a product ejector.
