Abstract:
To provide a venting water-tight battery powered appliance, for example, a personal care appliance such as a razor and a toothbrush, including a housing having a seal constituted to flex in response to pressure that allows gases, for example, hydrogen, to vent from the appliance, without allowing water to enter, and to disclose an appliance including two seals.
A bellows seal 26 is bent, when internal pressure in the housing 12 exceeds a prescribed value, and the seal is broken temporarily with an upper and/or lower sealing ring, to exhaust the gas.
