PURPOSE: To set a space in a building in the state of comfortable surroundings while energy-saving is carried out by using natural energy effectively.
CONSTITUTION: A damper 22 of a ventilator 20 located at an opening part 16 on a side wall 14 of a building is continuously shifted by a hydraulic cylinder 26 and an area to be substantially opened at the opening part 16 can be continuously varied. The hydraulic cylinder 24 operates corresponding to the strength of a draft on the basis of a detected signal from a sensor 30 for wind pressure. Therefore, whether a strong wind or a light wind, the strength or amount of air-flow introduced into the building through the opening part 16 is kept constant. In this way, a space in the building can be set in comfortable surroundings while energy-saving is being attained by introducing a natural wind into the building.
